Interoperability workshop at the INTERPOL General Secretariat in Lyon, France
The regional project Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans (CSCWB) recently organised a workshop on interoperability. The workshop took plase on November 17th 2022 in the premises of the INTERPOL HQ in Lyon, France with the participation of police senior officers leaders and IT experts from the INTERPOL National Central Bureaus (NCBs) of Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Italy.
The workshop program, which had the main target of evaluating each Beneficiary’s road map for the best possible interconnection of national to international databases through the use of the latest technologies developed by INTERPOL, included a visit to the INTERPOL Command and Coordination Centre (CCC), as well as presentations about the latest developments in the CSCWB project and INTERPOL policing capabilities (e.g. INTERPOL Web Services for Data Management – WISDM, Fixed INTERPOL Network Database – FIND 3).
Bilateral meetings with the representatives of each beneficiary country have been crucial in order to define the respective business plans to improve the interoperability of police databases at national, regional and global level vis-à-vis with managers and experts of the INTERPOL General Secretariat.
