SEPCA Analyst’s Network Workshop held in Rome, Italy

On November 7th 2022, a workshop was held in Rome, Italy with appointed analysts from the South East Europe Police Chiefs Association (SEPCA) Member States. The event aimed at  updating the SEPCA Threat Assessment related to criminal phenomena affecting the geographic area of the SEPCA represented countries. The document will provide competent authorities concrete insights on criminal threats and trends, also with a focus on High Risk Criminal Networks and HVTs.

The event took place under the Romanian SEPCA Presidency with opening remarks by the delegate Mr, Mihai Dascalu who informed the status of the process, highlighting the relevance of the joint effort done so far.

Anna Marinelli, Component Leader of the project Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans highlighted how the enhancement of the effective police cooperation can be considerd an added value, also in relation to the improving of the intelligence led approach, providing to the Law Enforcement Authorities a timely response in the fight against organized crime.

The Criminal Police Central Directorate of the of the Italian Department of Public Security, as implementing partner of the CSCWB project supported the organization of the workshop along with the Romanian Police Directorate. The finalized SEPCA Threat Assessment will be presented during the SEPCA Romanian General Assembly next December.
