Meetings of the European Judicial Network (EJN) in Budva, MNE
Following the successful previous four regional meetings of EJN Contact Points and after the pause caused by COVID-19, the regional project Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans IPA/2019 organized the 5th Regional Meeting EJN Contact Points Western Balkan, in Budva, Montenegro, in close cooperation with the EJN Secretariat. The meeting was dedicated to EJN legal framework, tools and functioning, practical work of EJN Contact Points and provided an opportunity to strengthen contacts and relations between EJN Contact Points from the Region and to discuss questions related to regional cases. Focus of the meeting was on obtaining evidence from encrypted channels of communication. The meeting was held on the 20th of September 2022.
Subsequently, the EJN Secretariat, held the 4th meeting between the EJN Contact Points in the EU Member States and in the Western Balkans, in cooperation with the project CSC WB. The meeting also took place in Budva, on the 21st of September 2022. The discussions were related to operational issues in the field of judicial cooperation, on raising the awareness of the EJN as well as on the Western Balkans involvement in the EJN and strengthening the cooperation between the EU Member States and the Western Balkans (challenges and solutions).
