EMPACT Meeting on High-Risk Criminal Networks held in Rome

On 21- 22 June 2022 the regional project Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans – IPA 2019 (CSC WB), also with the support of the Belgium Driver,  organized the Kick off & Operational meeting relate to the Operational Action 08.04 HRCN EMPACT priority in Rome, Italy.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the SEPCA countries involved in international police cooperation, with particular focus on organised crime groups, representatives of Spain, Germany and Malta as EU Member States  that joined the operational action.

Each country thoroughly presented and elaborated on the current state-of-play of the cross border on going investigations, focusing on OCGs and HVTS. As stressed by Ms. Anna Marinelli, team leader and “EMPACT” Component Leader, this workshop creates an unique opportunity to increase  the mutual exchange of information among Law Enforcement Authorities competent in the proactive identification of High Value Targets within the OCGS.
